Sponsorship Questions

Are donations really tax deductible?

Yes! The Norton Amateur Soccer club is a federally recognized 501(c)(3), so donations are tax deductible. Please see the IRS' website for more information. Note that we may not be listed in IRS Publication 78 yet.

How do I become a sponsor?

It is easy, just contact our Sponsors Director or any other member of our Board of Directors.

I'm a sponsor, why isn't my logo displaying on your page?

Either you did not provide the Sponsors Director with an electronic copy of your logo, or the Sponsors Director did not forward that logo to the webmaster. If the webmaster does not have a logo for a given sponsor then he will just use the sponsor's name on the website.

How do I submit my logo for your website?

Submit your image to a member of the Board of Directors and it will be forwarded to the webmaster. In order to fit the image to our web pages, the image will be resampled to 72dpi and resized to a height of 100 pixels with a maximum width of 250 pixels. The webmaster may make other modifications to you logo so that it looks it's best on the internet. One reason for such modifications is to keep text readable.

I click on my logo, but it doesn't take me to my web page. Why is that?

The webmaster does not have the url to your website. Give your URI (website address) to the Sponsors Director or to another member of the Board of Directors and it will be forwarded to the webmaster for inclusion on the site.

My address or phone number is worng on the webiste!

Let a member of the Board of Directors know that there is an inacuracy on the website and the webmaster will be informed to make the correction.

It seems like certain sponor's logos show up more than others, why?

The website has a list of sponsors and it randomly picks which sponsor's logo to display. Since the logos are choosen randomly by the computer there is always a chance that one logo will show up many times in a row, though the odds of that happeninng are small. But, the website is also programmed to display the logos of gold sponsors more than it does silver sponsors. Basically, silver sponsors get one entry in the list of sponsors while gold sponsors get two entries in the list.

Do I have to put my name, address, website, and logo on your website?

No. We are proud of our sponsors and will put your information on the website unless you specify otherwise. Please let us know if you wish to donate anonymously or if you wish to only publish certain parts of your contact information.
